Had a small heart attack this afternoon. I called our reception venue, the Post House in Greyton, and the lady I had been dealing with had left. The new lady doesn’t know any of the wedding details, let alone the costs, menu’s, table plans etc that have been booked. So back to square one.
Luckily I am not a bridezilla or I would have thrown my toys!!
Interestingly, my old friend (and ex-boyfriend) is going to be my “man of honour”. But, because his girlfriend and my fiancée are a little uncomfortable with the thought of him walking up the aisle (I was seeing him in a little red dress….LOL). We won’t be having anyone in attendance at the ceremony. My friend will however make a speech during the reception.
I can’t believe how many people have a problem with that. Why on earth should we have a herd of people shuffling up the aisle before us? What is the point?
In fact, I don’t even want my dad walking me down. I can’t see the point. And surely it should be my decision. Our priest is horrified and has come down on my like a ton of bricks. But I do feel like it should be my decision.
Do you have any thoughts? I would love to hear them. Perhaps I am a bridezilla, come to think of it…..!!!
